Hey everyone!
Welcome to a brand new blog post. I thought that today I would talk to you all about the Honey I Washed The Kids Body Spray from Lush.
Before I talk about the Body Spray itself, there is a bit of a backstory to the Honey I Washed The Kids for me. When I was studying at College, I used to wear the sweet scent quite a bit, via using the Soap and Shower Gel that is sold at Lush. For the first few months of meeting Michelle and getting to know her, I wore this scent quite a lot. This slowly meant that Michelle associated me with the scent therefore I have forever waited for a Body Spray to come out to evoke the nostalgic memories of when I was first starting out at College.
List Of Ingredients:
DRF Alcohol Water (Aqua) Perfume Glycerine Bergamot Oil Brazilian Orange Oil Amyl Cinnamal Butylphenyl Methylpropional Citronellol *Limonene *Linalool
The spray bottle itself had a medium sort of spray strength to it. When I have tried other Body Sprays in the past, I have sometimes noticed that some have a very strong spray strength which means that your arm gets coated in one spray of fragrances and other times not.
The smell of this product is gorgeous. If you haven't tried anything from the Honey I Washed The Kids range, then, the best way to describe this fragrance is that it is a slightly bright yet creamy toffee fragrance. Yes I know, it's weird that Orange and Bergamot make up a toffee like fragrance but weirdly it works. I think the Orange notes comes through as a more deep Orange compared to an Orange scent that dominates the fragrance and the Bergamot brings the sweetness to create this divinely dessert like fragrance.
The fragrance was super strong when I first sprayed it onto my skin. Surprisingly, it settled down quite quickly and left a light citrus and creamy scent in the air. I checked on the scent all day whilst out and about. I came to the conclusion that, this product keeps it's signature toffee like scent going on all day but once it has initially kicked you in the face via the strength it settles and reminds you that it is still there in short bursts of scent instead of kicking you in the face with fragrance for an hour and then disappearing into thin air.
Would I buy it again? I think that I would. I love the scent and I love that it is strong but not overly strong to the point that you get sick of wearing it as soon as you've sprayed it. I also think its a great one to wear on maybe the colder nights. I just love that its a cosy scent but still has the ability to uplift and cheer you up at the same time.
Have you tried this Body Spray? Let me know down below!
