Scrubbing Away The Dirt With Stones | St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

Hello!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I bought the St Ives Blemish ControL Apricot Scrub a couple of weeks ago and I thought that it was time to tell you guys what I thought about it.

A white triangular bottle with St Ives in bold large black font with Blemish Control in smal bold white font in a orange strip with pictures of orange Apricots below it.

'Blemish Control Apricot Scrub is a delicious scrub that smells of fuzzy apricots & helps reduce breakouts before they even occur. Made with 100% natural exfoliants (like walnut shell powder) for a deep cleanse.' - St Ives UK Website.

As it says above, this crub helps to reduce breakouts before they even occur via using things such as Walnut Shell Powder which sounds like such an abstract uigredient to use but making sure that the shells have been grounded into a powder means that the scrub won't be too harsh on the skin. It also contains Apricot Fruit Extract from the skin all the way to the stone to ensure that the product smells of Apricot but also helps to nourish your skin.

When using this product, it says to 'Squeeze a small sized amount of scrub onto your fingertips and massage onto damp skin. Spread in small circular motions, applying gentle pressure to wake your skin’s natural circulation. Work all over, right up to your hairline and onto the sides of your nose. When you’re done, rinse and pat dry with a clean towel.' Applying pressure whilst massaging a scrub into your face sounds weird but it actually kinda works. It brings more blood up to the surface which in turn means that your skin will generate new cells quicker which will help to remove dead skin cells and help to encourage new beautifully looking skin. I leave it on for a minute or so after massaging due to how I like to apply scrubs but honestly the results that you get are worth doing anything for!

Obviously as this product is called Blemish Control and not Blemish Vanish, this product won't make your skin clear instantly but it stops spots from appearing before they appear and they definitely do that! This scrub makes your skin feel incredibly soft after using it too which is rare in a scrub.

This scrub is on the High level of the Exfoliant Factor which means that if you think that this one will be too harsh for you then St Ives do other scrubs which are a little bit more suited for you!
