I am very particular with Cherry flavoured things. If the product tastes of artificial Cherry, as in that sort of really sweet Cherry cough medicine like flavour then I can't stand it in any way, shape or form. However, if the product tastes of a realistic, slightly sweet, slightly sour Cherry then I absolutely adore it. This bar did contain two types of Cherry but they were both in the category of being slightly sweet, slightly sour, therefore I absolutely loved this product. As I saw that this bar had two types of Cherry components, I was expecting it to be average tasting, but this bar challenged my expectations. The Cream gave a slightly subtle Cherry flavour, but as soon as my tastebuds were used to the sweet creamy Cherry flavour, the Cherry filling came through, which flooded my tastebuds with a wave of Sour Cherry. The Milk Chocolate cut through a bit of the sour flavour at the end of tasting this bar.
The smooth sweet cream contrasted in flavour and texture with the tart slightly chunky Cherry filling. I loved how every other bite came with a chunk of terrifically tangy Cherry. It made me remember that the bar was Cherry, as sometimes with bars, you get halfway through it and forget what flavour the product is trying to be. The creamy Chocolate then went against the chunky compote as it gave a luxurious feeling to the mouth. It was like a smooth sandwich with a superb sour middle to balance it all out.
