Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you all about the Minions X Lush Collab Range.
Minions Bath Bomb - £6.50.
Time to show the Minions who’s boss and drop them into the tub!
This bath bomb contains Tonka Absolute and Vanilla Absolute. This bath bomb may seem simple to the eye but boy does it have an impact. Reading the description of the bath bomb, I was expecting a quite creamy sweet Vanilla scent but nope that’s not the case at all. This bath bomb smells like a sort of smoky Banana Bread. The slightly smoky, slightly charred corners of a Banana Bread. If you or anyone that you know of love Despicable Me or Minions then I think that would be an amazing gift. Saying that I think if you grabbed this range and packed it up on one of Lush’s Knot Wraps then it would make for an amazing gift!
Bananaaaa Shower Gel - from £9.
This Shower Gel contains Glycerine, Coconut Cream, Oat Milk, Tonka Absolute and Vanilla Absolute. I was pleasantly surprised by this Shower Gel. I was expecting the same scent as the Bath Bomb but to me I can definitely tell there’s Banana notes rather than a smoky Banana Bread scent which the Bath Bomb has. To me, the best way to describe the scent of this Shower Gel is a sort of Banana Infused Milk that is going into a recipe for Custard to make a Banana infused Custard. Not Banana Milk or Banana Milkshake but Banana infused Milk. I can smell the lactic notes from the Oat Milk and Coconut Milk but I can still smell the Banana at the same time when I inhale this shower gel whilst I use it in the Shower. As someone who has severely dry skin, I adore any gel from Lush that contains nourishing milks and butters and this gel was no exception. I felt so soft and supple after using this Gel. I loved it!
Respect! Power! Banana! Jelly Mask - £10.
Even Minions need good skin for Villain Con.
This Jelly Mask contains Glycerine, Kaolin, Fine Oatmeal, Ground Almonds, Fresh Fair Trade Organic Bananas, Carrageenan Extract, Vanilla Absolute, DaSandalwood Oil and Benzoin Resinoid.
Lush has grabbed the old fan favourite Oatifix Face Mask and reinvigorated it to be a part of the Minions collab and no one has any idea how happy I am about this. I adored Oatifix. This jelly mask is super soothing from the inclusion of Banana and Glycerine but scrubs away at dead skin without being too harsh due to the Ground Almond and Oatmeal. The scent of this reminds me of a warm bowl of Porridge but in a good way with an undertone of Cinnamon. It doesn’t contain Cinnamon but the Tonka may be giving this product a sort of toasted Cinnamon note?
If you’re a bit confused on how to use this product then I like to pinch a tiny bit of the Jelly Mask, massage it in between my hands and work it into my face before leaving it for about ten minutes and then with this one before I wash it off I like to scrub in circular motions to ensure that the Almonds and Oatmeal have done their magic and then wash off with a damp flannel.
If you suffer from dry skin, acne or just have those days where your skin decides to throw caution to the wind, rebel and cause havoc then this is the product for you!
Goggles Eye Pads - £7.50.
These Eye Pads contain Chamomile Water, Glycerine, Fresh Aloe Gel, Carageenan Extract, Chamomile Blue Oil, Roman Chamomile Oil, Kaolin and Activated Charcoal.
These look amazing and are as camp as the Minions are. I am very particular with Chamomile but I quite enjoyed the scent of these Eye Pads. Delicate and herbal with a spicy undertone. I left these on for quite a while and my eyes felt rejuvenated and soft. I think that these would be amazing for a Minions/Despicable Me Watching Party! The Aloe Gel in these worked as sort of an eye serum that I worked into my under eyes after usage!
