Hey everyone!
Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently received the Lush Kitchen April Shower Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it and tell you my thoughts!
Aprils Kitchen Box is titled 'What's Up Choc?' As you can tell by the name, this box is centralised around all things Easter particular all things Chocolate. This box uses chocolate and gourmand scents in a fascinating way and is featured in several shower based products within Aprils Kitchen Box.
I grabbed this Kitchen Box as I was intrigued to see how Lush would use gourmand and chocolate scents in different shower products. I also grabbed this box because I adore Spring and Chocolate. My love for chocolate is kind of ironic because I'm highly intolerant to lactose. I get that some would ask why do you want to bathe in and smell of chocolate if you're intolerant to one of the main components of chocolate but just because my stomach can't process the sugars that naturally occur in chocolate and dairy products doesn't mean that I shouldn't be able to love chocolate nor should it stop me from smelling like a delectable snack.
Chocolate Orange Shower Gel
List Of Ingredients:
Fresh Orange Infusion (Citrus aurantium dulcis), Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocoa Powder (Theobroma cacao), Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Cocoa Absolute (Theobroma cacao), Brazilian Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus), Limonene.
Who doesn't want to smell like a Chocolate Orange snack this Spring?
Lush have created a shower gel that epitomises the chocolate and citrus combination that will make you crave something sweet to have after you've had your shower. This shower gel contains Cocoa Absolute and Vanilla Absolute to create that sublime yet sweet chocolate scent and also contains Fresh Orange Infusion, Brazilian Orange Oil and Tangerine Oil to create a scent that is truly out of this world.
I adored this shower gel when I have been using it. If you are a fan of a thicker shower gel rather than a runnier one then this gel is definitely for you as it's on the thicker side due to the addition of Glycerine that is known to help keep skin soft and supple. The Shower Gel lathers up into a rich yet milky lather that is truly inviting and the smell is to die for.
Talking of the scent, it's rich, it's gourmand, it's sweet and it's everything that you want from a Chocolate Orange Shower Gel especially if you love that edible chocolate Orange that you have to whack not tap to open... For me though I think that I could do with a touch more Orange in it which sounds bizarre as there's three different types of Orange Oil running through this Gel but I think I just wanted more of that punchy orange to come through when I was showering with it. I still love it don't get me wrong but I think that little bit more Orange would make me want to buy litres of it. If you're a fan of Chocolate Orange anything or would love to see a new citrus variation on Posh Chocolate from Lush then I think that you will love this Shower Gel.
Lucky Bunny Shower Jelly

We all need a bunny to help us be lucky all year long!
This Shower Jelly is here to make your Easter full of everything that you desire including that rare day that has that iconic picnic/barbecue ready British spring weather that lasts five minutes before it rains.
This Shower Jelly smells amazing! The combination of Vegan White Chocolate, Vanilla, Peppermint and Orange creates a sort of sweet gourmand scent with a big and bright fresh kick to it. If you have smelt Mr.Wallet Body Spray then I think that you might like this. To me, this reminds me of a fresh take on Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The Vegan Whote Chocolate and Pepwrmint are the main scents that come through whereas the Orange just helps to give a little bit of a fresh boost to the scent. If you love anything mint chocolate then I think that you will enjoy this quite a lot! (I know some either love or loathe Shower Jellies so let me know your thoughts on them!)

It's time to pamper your heavenly body and give yourself some self love!
Heavenly Bodies from Lush is a buttercream. What is a buttercream, you ask? Well, a buttercream from lush is a whipped shower product that resembles a whipped up buttercream that you top a beautiful cake with. The best way to use this buttercream is to massage into wet skin and rinse after spending a couple of minutes inhaling the delicious scent of Heavenly Bodies.
This product contains Rhassoul Mud which helps to cleanse the skin of dirt and impurities, Cocoa Butter and Jojoba Oil which helps to nourish the skin and keep it feeling soft and beautiful this spring and a plethora of beautiful oils such as Cocoa, Vanilla and Sandalwood which combine to create a truly gourmand scent that has a pop of Orange to it.. I quite enjoy this product! As someone who has troublesome skin that can go from inflamed to dry very quickly, Heavenly Bodies is perfect for me. I would definitely suggest using this in conjunction with Chocolate Orange Gel or Sonic Death Monkey Shower Gel for the truly most decadent everything shower that you can think of this Easter.
Carrot Soap
List Of Ingredients:
Fresh Carrot Infusion (Daucus carota sativa), Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera), Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua), Perfume, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Carrot Powder (Daucus carota sativa), Cedarwood Oil (Juniperus virginiana), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax tonkinensis pierre), Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Bicarbonate, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 45350, Colour 45410:1, Colour 42090, Colour 14700.
Is it truly Easter without Carrots? I don't think so!
This creative Carrot Soap contains Fresh Carrot Infusion and Carrot Powder to truly ensure that your skin is glowing for Spring due to the naturally occurring Vitamin C that is in Carrots! This soap also contains Tangerine Oil, Cedarwood and Benzoin Resinoid which combine to create a slightly citrusy scent that has a resinous woody undertone which evokes the feeling of watching the sunrise in the woods. I was a bit confused when this soap came just because I was expecting the original Carrots Soap which has a bunny engraved in the middle of each slice that shares the same scent as Follow The White Rabbit but now that I've been using and smelling this soap for a while, I'm not and that it was this version of the carrot soap instead. Isn't that what the kitchen boxes are all about? Finding out about new scents and scents that you may not gravitate towards when buying in store but slowly falling in love with them. If you're a fan of anything slightly woody then I think that this soap is for you!
Perfume Behind Your Ears
List Of Ingredients:
Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Organic Castor Oil (Ricinus communis), Organic Candelilla Wax (Euphorbia cerifera), Perfume,Limonene, Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Neroli Oil (Citrus aurantium amara), Rose Oil (Rosa damascena), Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Benzyl Salicylate, Cinnamal, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Isoeugenol, Linalool, Colour 77492.
Some of us may forget that putting perfume behind your ears is a great way to help a perfume project its scent but now you won't with Perfume Behind Your Ears!
This Solid Perfume shares the same scent as the limited edition Easter Shower Gel that is named Wash Behind Your Ears.
This perfume contains Jasmine, Neroli and Rose that combine to create a fresh yet floral scent. When I initially smelt this perfume straight out of the Kitchen Box I got a sort of strong Ginger note which I was confused but glad about as I love all things Ginger. However when I applied it and then smelt it I realised that this perfume is the epitome of Spring. The Jasmine, Neeoli and Rose blend together to create a fresh scent that reminds me of walking into a florist or walking past a garden that has multiple flowers blooming in it and having the smell of fresh flowers wafting in your face in the height of Spring.
If you loved the Bridgerton Perfume or the new iteration of it in the form of Sweet Pea Perfume then I think that you will enjoy this Solid Perfume that would pair beautifully with Sweet Pea.
