Enjoying The Fresh Fan Favourites Of August In The Tub | Lush Kitchen August 2024 Box

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I recently grabbed the August Lush Kitchen Subscription Box from Lush Leeds Box and I thought that today I would talk to you all about it!

If you’re unaware of the Kitchen Subscription Box then it is a monthly subscription box that contains retro, exclusive and well loved Lush products. In the past, you used to get three products voted by those subscribed and two products on average chosen by the amazing people at Lush as a surprise but now the Kitchen Box usually contains five products that are usually centralised around a theme.

This month, the wonderful Finley chose five amazing products centralised around fresh fan favourites.  Retro products loved by the Lush community. Products that the Lush a community have yearned to return in some way shape or form! If you are unaware of Finley then Finley runs the wonderful Lush Discord Channel and is the face of the Lush Reveals Videos on YouTube which are focused on telling you all the exciting upcoming ranges and products from Lush such as brand new collaborations, new all year round products and seasonal ranges.

I am known to be forgetful and as the Kitchen Box has a cut off date for subscribing I normally have a tendency to forget and then remember after the cut off date meaning that I can’t get the Kitchen Box normally. However, I heard that some Kitchen Boxes were going into stores so I emailed Lush Leeds Spa and thankfully they were so nice to reserve a box for me. I can’t thank them enough for doing this to me.

A white square box with a card in the top that says community favs in red font with a plethora of lush products inside showing to the camera including a spherical orange and yellow bath bomb, a small black cykdiencual tube of perfume with s I over cap a shower gel clinical plastic bottle filled with red shower gel with a black lid and a black label with Prince Charming shower gel lush and two cykdiencuao plastic tubs, one filled with body lotion with a circular one that says flying fox lotion lush in white font one filled with a deep blue purple shower jelly with a black circular label that says happy for sad shower jelly lush in white font on a bright background

Prince Charming Shower Gel

This Shower Gel contains Marshmallow Root and Vanilla Pod Infusion, Glycerine, Grapefruit Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Geranium Oil and Fresh Pomegranate Juice.

In my opinion, this smells like a fruity cocktail due to the Grapefruit and Pomegranate Juice with a sort of Vanilla sweetness undertone due to the Marshmallow and Vanilla Pod Infusion. The Sandalwood and Geranium aren’t super noticeable but to me they do help to round out the scent as a whole helping the fruity notes jump off the page whilst the Sandalwood to me helps to round out the Vanilla notes and ensure that it’s not too sickly sweet.

Lemon Days and Ginger Beer Bath Bomb

This bath bomb contains Ginger Oil, Mimosa Absolute, Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Geranium Oil, Bergamot Oil,  Lemon Peel Powder and Powdered Ginger.

Lemon Days and Ginger Beer Bath Bomb shares its scent with the iconic Lush Ginger Perfume. If you haven’t smelt Ginger from Lush before then imagine an intense Ginger fragrance with a background of woody and fruity notes which will make anyone near you ask what fragrance you are wearing. This bath bomb takes the iconic scent and adds a pep of Lemon to it to evoke the fragrance and feeling of enjoying a Lemon and Ginger Tea when you’re feeling under the weather. I adore anything Ginger and anything Lemon so combining the two into a bath bomb that I can enjoy is heaven. I have a massive stash of Lemon and Ginger Tea and love to have a cup when the weather is cold outside! I have been known to even add fresh Ginger and Lemon to my cup before drinking to amp up the flavour. I haven’t used this bath bomb just yet but will do after writing this blog post! Honestly I can’t wait to use this! I also have the Ginger Shower Gel, Solid Perfume and Liquid Perfume so I can’t wait to pair them with this Bath Bomb!

Happy For S.A.D Shower Jelly

This Jelly contains Glycerine, Fresh White Lily Infusion, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Carrageenan Extract, Neroli Oil, Grapefruit Oil and Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil.

I was unsure on what to think of this scent. I have never smelt it before and have heard so many varied reviews and responses to this product. I was expecting it to be Neroli heavy with a touch of Grapefruit as Neroli is known to help reduce stress, anxiety and depression but it was the other way around. I adore the combination of citrus and neroli in this jelly as it is truly uplifting.

This Shower Jelly has been created to help those who suffer with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Honestly, as someone who suffers with S.A.D and was intrigued by the scent of this product, this product was a big reason of why I bought the box. As someone who has an eye condition that is affected by darkness, early dark nights affect me massively mentally and physically so I am hoping that this Shower Jelly helps. I do love all things Autumn except the dark nights and it being a pain for me to get anything done as soon as it gets dark outside.

Flying Fox Body Lotion

This Body Lotion contains Almond Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Glycerine, Cypress Oil, Jasmine Oil, Palmarosa Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil.

This Body Lotion shares the same scent as the Flying Fox Shower Gel  which has returned as a part of the Lush Remind/Discon Wall that is in selected stores and online as well as the Godiva Shampoo Bar and the Lust Perfume from Lush. Flying Fox smells like a seductive Jasmine forward scent with powdery undertones coming from the Palmarosa and Ylang Ylang.

The Body Lotion itself is amazing. Not too heavy and greasy but nourishing enough to make skin feel soft and supple. The Lotion sank in quite quickly which I adore right now as it means you’re not waiting too long for the product to sink in especially if you’re in a rush which I am forever in. I used it first thing in the morning and my body still felt super nourished when I got back in the evening from being out running errands and being busy all day. I can’t wait to use all of the Lust/Flying Fox products and pair the together to smell beautiful all day long!

Exhale Perfume

This perfume contains Cedarwood Oil, Vetivert Oil, Sicilian  Lemon Oil, Grapefruit. Oil and Cade Oil.

A fun thing about Exhale. It is half of the very well known scent from Lush - Breath Of God. Breath Of God is made up of two separate scents at Lush. Inhale and Exhale. Inhale focuses more on the fruity sort of Melon like part of the Breath Of God fragrance whereas Exhale focuses on the more smoky aspect of Breath OfGod.

In my opinion, Exhale smells of when you first enter a bookshop in a way. This fragrance contains woody ingredients such as the Cedarwood and the Vetivert that are giving me that sort of bookshop scent vibe. The Cade to me adds a real punch of smokiness. Sort of like when wood has been burnt or when fireworks have been going off. I know these both sound like weird scents but to me they work. I think that this fragrance will be perfect during the Autumn season.

Thanks again to Lush Leeds Spa for reserving me this Kitchen Box so I could purchase it and use all of these wonderful items.

Are you subscribed to the Kitchen Box? Will you be subscribing now Lush are releasing a Shower version of the Kitchen Box for those who don’t have a tub? Let me know!

I Made My Own Bath Bomb And Fresh Face Mask At Lush! | Lush White Rose Summer Treats Workshop - Passion Bath Bomb & Avocado Ice Cream Fresh Face Mask

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post!  I recently went to the Lush White Rose store with Luke to make my own bath bomb and fresh face mask and I thought that today I would tell you all about it!

We arrived at Lush White Rose and had a look about as the store had recently received their Discon/Remind Wall and had some Anchor Store Exclusive products such as The Shining, Punkawalop and Shield out on the shelves. I love popping into Lush White Rose when I’m going to White Rose. The store is great and the staff are truly amazing!

After about five minutes, it was time to take part in the workshop!

Lush have created these workshops as a part of their Summer Treats Range which focuses on Summer Scents that you can create via combining Lush products such as combining Mask Of Magnaminty, Tingle, Dirty Springwash and Glen Cocoa to create a Mint Choc Chip scent, releasing Bouncy Castle Shower Jelly to the public for a limited time before it goes back to being a Party exclusive, releasing a limited edition Body Spray collection and changing the packaging of certain products to evoke the feeling of Summer through a pastel colour scheme. This workshop enables customers to create a bath bomb that has a citrus fragrance that evokes the feeling of Summer. alongside a Fresh Face Mask that is based on food that truly screams Summer. Ice Cream.

A wide angled photo of a orange, pink and yellow swirled spherical bath bomb next to a black circular pot filled with green face mask with a pink and green circular label with avocado ice cream fresh face mask lush in white font on a bright background

The first product we were told that we were making was Passion Bath Bomb. A summery delight in a bath bomb that smells like fresh Passionfruit! This bath bomb contains Buchu, Litsea Cubeba and Sweet Wild Orange Oils to create a truly Summery bath.

before making anything at Lush, you have to put on gloves for obvious health and safety reasons. Now giving gloves to Luke when it comes to making Lush products has always been a bit troublesome. He has large hands and sometimes the gloves don’t fit him properly but today was not that day and after a few minutes we both managed to get them on smoothly!

After we had put the gloves on, we grabbed our bottom halves of the bath bomb mould and layered yellow bath bomb mixture and then after that we grabbed some orange and pink bath bomb mixture and was told to sprinkle each of these onto one side of the mould (one on the left and one on the right) and then swirl. Now honestly I wasn’t fully sure how to swirl bath bomb mixture in a mould without it flying everywhere so I just kinda mixed it with my fingers and then was told to layer the other colours and pack it down. I can’t really remember which colours went in which order sadly but once we were done with the bottom half we were told to repeat with the top half. After this, we grabbed a big handful of the last colour and was told to squish and twist the two halves together to create one homogenous bath bomb with one mould. It sounds easy to do but it does take a few tries to ensure that the bath bomb and mould are on properly. Once we got them sandwiched we put them in a bag and was told to leave them to cure and set for at least 24 hours before using it.

After this, we were told that we would be making Avocado Ice Cream Fresh Face Mask. This has been a Lush Kitchen Exclusive and was available for a very short time at Lush Liverpool Spa so I was excited and intrigued to make this. I love a good Fresh Face Mask.

We first grabbed some new gloves because we didn’t want the powder from the wonderful Passion Bath Bomb to contaminate with the Fresh Face Mask. Once this was done, we arranged all of the ingredients needed to make the Fresh Face Mask. In cooking, mise en place is used to ensure cooking goes smoothly. Mise en place is essentially having everything ready before cooking so it felt a bit similar to that. We first mashed the Avocados through a sieve to ensure it was super smooth. For some reason, these avocados decided that they didn’t want to be mashed so it took a while. After this we did read that there was a top tip to add the Lemon Juice to help the Avocados mash so after mashing and reading this we did so. After the Lemon Juice was added, it was time to add the Soya Yoghurt which Luke did wonderfully, the Kaolin and the essential oil blend. To me the oil smelt of wonderfully zingy Lemongrass. Once added, we mixed all the ingredients together until combined and then it was time to pack it into the tubs.

Before we did that, we had to get the tubs ready with the labels. Now, as I don’t have the greatest dexterity this was a bit fiddly. Labels, peeling them off a backing label, gloves…. It could’ve gone better but I got there. Once I had applied the big label to the lid, it was time to add the smaller label to the side of the pot which was so easy compared to the big one. Once this was done, it was time to put it into the tubs and then whack it in the fridge when I got home so it could be ready to use.

Since it’s been a few days since making this, I have used Avocado Ice Cream and oh my god it is beautiful! I will probably do a proper review of it soon but it’s amazing!

Thanks again to the staff at Lish White Rose for having us!

Would you go to Lush and make your own bath bomb and face mask? Let me know!

Spraying The Body Sprays So I Smell Good For That Summer Loving! | Lush Summer Treats Body Spray Range 2024

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that today I would talk to you about the limited edition Lush Body Sprays that have dropped as part of their Summer Treats range for the Summer.

In my last post, I focused on Lemony Flutter which Lush kindly sent me it to review on here (thank you Lush) so I have decided to focus on the rest of the range within this post. If you want to read all about my review and opinions on the brand new summer Lemony Flutter Body Spray then do read my last blog post.

All of the Body Sprays are priced at £25. If you want to grab any of the Body Sprays (including Lemony Flutter) that are listed below then run don’t walk to your local Lush store or online as these are only available during August!

A wide angled photo of six black cleaning product shaped bottles filled with body spray with different coloured done labels such as purple, light brown, peach, yellow and orange with passion, peaches, space girl, sticky dates, lemon fluttery and grape soda lush in white font depending on the body spray on a bright background

Grape Soda

We all get a little bit thirsty in the Summer…

This is a brand new Body Spray from Lush and as the name says, the Spray takes inspiration from fruity soda.

This Body Spray contains Juniperberry Oil and Sweet Wild Orange Oil. This combination of oils creates a very fruity scent. To me, it reminds me of the Grape Fanta Cans of American Soda that you can get from American Candy Stores across the UK.  This body spray also shares the same scent as the Big Squeeze Bath Bomb and Vampire Kisses Lip Scrub from Lush.

Honestly, this is a bit of a confusing scent for me. When I sprayed it in store, it took a couple of minutes to develop on my skin so I was unsure on what the smell was reminding me of or if there was much scent at all and then when it kicked in, I grew to enjoy the scent. I think I need to respray it in store to properly tell if I do enjoy it or not but from the dry down, it does remind me of the Fanta Grape Cans and enjoying a cold refreshing can on a hot Summers day. If you like your sweet scents then I think that you will adore this. If you adore Snow Fairy then I think that you will enjoy this scent as to me it does give off a Summery sort of sibling to Snow Fairy. If I was going to pair this alongside other products from Lush then I think I would pair it with Sultana Of Soap or anything The Comforter scented as the berry notes in both would compliment the body spray in my opinion.

A photo of a white hand holding a black surface cleaning shaped bottle containing body spray with a domed purple label with grape soda body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Passion

One spray and this Body Spray will definitely add some passion to your life!

This body spray contains Lime, Litsea Cubeba and Brazilian Orange Oils. Honestly, this is Summer in a bottle to me. Bright and zingy!

When I sprayed it I instantly got that iconic Passion scent from Lush and I did say oh my god quite loudly in store when I sprayed this oops. When it settled on my skin, it did still smell of bright Passion Fruit but I did detect a slight creaminess to it. This may be due to the Litsea Cubeba? The creaminess to me added a bit of depth for the citrus to jump off and ensured that the citrus didn’t instantly flash off my skin which has happened previously with other citrus fragrances which is a shame because I love citrus scents! This body spray doesnt disappoint!

You could pair this with a plethora of items from Lush such as Passion Shower Gel or the Passion Bath Bomb, Sweet Wild Orange Hand Balm, Orange Scrub or Brightside Bubble Bar because well Orange and Passionfruit are beautiful companions scent wise. I did use Passion Body Spray the other day and I did pair it with Tropical Co-Mingle, Bongo Shower Jelly and Passion Shower Gel and oh my god I felt and smelt amazing!

A wide angled photo of a spherical clear plastic tub filled with light yellow body scrub in a circular clear lid with a black circular label with tropical co-mingle lush in white font next to a cylindrical clear tub filled with a cylindrical green and yellow shower jelly with a clear circular lid with a black circular label with bongo shower jelly lush in white font

Peaches

Who doesnt want to smell like a juicy ripe peach?

This body spray contains Sweet Orange, Buchu and Litsea Cubeba Oils, Olibanum Resinoid and Champaca Absolute.

If you remember the Lush X Super Mario Bros Movie Collaboration then you may remember the Princess Peach Body Spray, well she’s back with a brand new name and a glow up!

I did publish a blog post about the Mario Collab so if you want to read all about the previous version then click here

This is very similar to Princess Peach but to my nose this is a little bit fruitier. The old version had a Watermelon note to me that was quite prominent when you first spray it whereas Peaches doesn’t so much. I recently picked up some Peach Hi-Chew’s whilst I was at an Asian Supermarket recently and they smell exactly like the spray!

I would pair this with Thermal Waves, Passionfruit Shower Gel, Peachy Bath Bomb, Brother Moon Bath Bomb and anything Rose Jam. I just think that Peach and Rose go beautifully together!

A white hand holding a black surface cleaner shaped bottle with a peach domed label with peaches body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Space Girl

Time to feel like you’re off into orbit with this Body Spray!

This body spray contains Bergamot Oil., Grapefruit Oil and Almond Essential Oil. Space Girl reminds me of walking into a sweet shop and being able to smell all the sweets. Creamy. Fruity. Sugary. It does have a bit of a Pink Lemonade vibe too. I have enjoyed Space Girl in many iterations and this Body Spray reminds me of the Asteroid City collaboration Shower Gel that was scented in Space Girl the most. Fruity with a big blast of sweet Almond. I adore this scent and I can totally see why it is a part of the Summer Treats range! I would pair this with the Space Girl Barth Bomb that is a part of the I’m Back/Retro/Remind/Archive Wall and the old Very Very Frightening Shower Gel.

A white hand holding a black surface cleaner bottle filled with body spray with a purple domed label with space girl body spray lush in white font on a bright background

Sticky Dates

Sticky Dates Body Spray is back baby! I have done a in-depth blog post about the Sticky Dates Body Spray from when it was last released but I will give a quick sort of run down of this version. (Click here to read about the previous version of Sticky Dates Body Spray).

This body spray contains Carob Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid in and Sandalwood Oil.

It’s sweet. Its gourmand, it smells like baked goods and is very much going to be an amazing body spray for when the weather gets a touch colder. I was a bit unsure on if the fragrance had been dialled down or changed but nope. This version packs a massive punch and lasts a long time on the skin.i tried the new version whilst I was out running errands in Leeds and I could still smell it by the time I was home and cleansing my face in the evening.

If you haven’t smelt Sticky Dates before then imagine a Sticky Toffee Pudding but in washable form! adore it and love that Lush are putting the scent into different formats! I think that alongside Turmeric Latte, this is the perfect gourmand scent for a special; occasion/date night.

I would pair this with the rest of the Sticky Dates range such as the Body Scrub, Shower Gel and Body Lotion that have been released earlier this year or maybe something like the Honey I Washed The Kids range. I would also be tempted to pair it with Cup O’ Coffee to create a sort of Sticky Toffee Latte situation.

Bringing A Little Bit Of Summer Zest To Your Life | Lush Lemony Flutter Body Spray

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post all about the brand new Summer Body Sprays from Lush. Lush kindly sent me the Lemony Flutter Body Spray so I will be focusing on that today and then next week I will be focusing on the rest of the range.

These Body Sprays are available to purchase online, the Beak Street store in Soho, London alongside the other new perfumes that are exclusive to Lush Beak St Soho for now and your local Lush store! These Body Sprays are limited edition so run and don’t walk to grab them before they sell out!

A photo of a black body spray bottle filled with body spray with a yellow domed label with lemons printed on it with lemony flutter body wash lush in white font on a bright background

List Of Ingredients:

Organic Alcohol Denat., Water (Aqua), Perfume, Limonene, Glycerine, Citral, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Chamomile Blue Oil, Lavender Oil, Tagetes Oil, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Isoeugenol, Linalool.

This Body Spray is inspired by the very iconic Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter that has been available from Lush for a fair few years now. I remember this being one of the first products that I smelt when it came to checking out Lush’s hand products and honestly it evoked the vibe of Summer as soon as I sniffed it that first time many Summers ago.

I have used the Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter from Lush for a fair few years now. I am actually completely out of it at the moment but when I have used it I have used it everywhere. On my nails, on my hands, on my feet, my knees, elbows…. Everywhere! I love how it contains a multitude of enriching ingredients such as Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter and Organic Jojoba Oils which keep all parts of the body feeling soft and supple so when I heard that Lush were releasing a Lemony Flutter Body Spray, I was over the moon!

I love Lemons. Truly, I do. I am that person who will eat lemons with no hesitation. I like to weird people out by eating lemon quarters in front of them whilst looking at them whilst having zero reaction. Its fun to see what peoples reactions of me doing this is due to well Lemons being sour.

When I first sprayed this after receiving the parcel, the first note that I picked out was the Sicilian Lemon Oil. A kick of zingy Lemon to the face. After a minute or so, I noticed the Lavender and Chamomile coming out and blending beautifully with the Lemon. The Tagetes Oil to me then came out to ensure that the Lemon wasn’t being overpowered by the herbal notes that had appeared in the fragrance of the Body Spray.Once the notes had appeared, the fragrance settled into a true Lemon fragrance that is supported by a herbaceous background.

I know that some of my fellow readers will be asking if there is a big difference between Lemony Flutter and Dad’s Garden Lemon Tree Body Spray from Lush and I am here to tell you the answer. There is. They are of a similar realm but there is a big difference in regards to scent between the two. I would describe Dad’s Garden Lemon Tree as being a scent based around picking Lemons off a Tree whilst being surrounded by shrubs of Lavender and Chamomile whilst Lemony Flutter is more based around zesting Lemons in the Kitchen to make a cake or slicing Lemons to make a Lemonade in the Kitchen in the warm heat whilst the window is open and a slight breeze brings in the whisper of Lavender and Chamomile from some nearby shrubs.

I am also surprised because weirdly you do get a creamy note alongside the Lemon in this Body Spray which to me mimics the Fair Trade Shea Butter and Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter that are in the Cuticle Butter to ensure that skin feels super nourished and cared for.

I applied this as soon as I received the parcel in the morning and I could smell it still by around six in the evening when I was running my bath. I could still smell the creamy citrus scent and I adored it.

Now, fragrances are subjective to everyone and on me, my skin has a tendency to pull put the other notes a little bit more (eg the Lavender and Chamomile in Lemony Flutter) which is why I was surprised that they didn’t overwhelm the Lemon notes when the Body Spray had settled on my skin.

This truly does evoke Lemonade in Summer vibes to me and I absolutely adore it. If you love anything Lemon heavy then I do think that you will enjoy this Body Spray. I would definitely give it a spray if you can get to a store to sniff it later this week especially whilst we are enjoying the warm weather in the UK.

Lush have asked me, what would I pair with Lemony Flutter to truly create a Summer bathing experience? I think that I would pair Happy Hippy Shower Gel, Whoosh Shower Jelly, Oaty Creamy Dreamy and Skin Softening Porridge Fresh Face Mask. I think that all of these products from Lush play on the citrus and herbal aspects of Lemony Flutter which in turn would compliment the Body Spray. I did actually use this combination earlier and oh my god, it was divine!

The other Body Sprays that have been released under this Summer Body Spray Range from Lush are:

Grape Soda.

Passion.

Peaches.

Space Girl.

Sticky Dates.

Will you be grabbing any of these limited edition Summer Body Sprays? Let me know!

Thanks again to the lovely Community Team at Lush for sending me this Body Spray!

It’s Time To Be Totally Radical & Save Some Turtles This July | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Lush

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Ive been unwell recently so when I started to recover, I went to go and check out the totally radical and brand new TMNT X Lush Collaboration range!

‘This summer, Lush and Paramount Consumer Products launch a Turtle-y awesome limited edition product collection. Channel your inner hero in a half shell with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!’ - Lush UK.

Lush have collaborated with Paramount this summer to create a plastic free beauty range to not only help reduce single use plastic which in turn will help turtles but also to celebrate the turtles via creating  a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles range that will have you feeling turtle-y awesome. July is also known for being Plastic Free July and in turn this range will help you to cut down on the plastic you use in your own beauty routine!

A wide angled photo of a square glass window with a display of a green background with teenage mutant ninja turtles x lush in white and green font with a brown skyscraper below whilst spherical, circular and pizza shaped products are in the forefront on a bright background

Four Brothers Bath Bomb (£14)

Time to see which one of the gang appears in your tub!

This bath bomb contains Fresh Oregano Infusion, Lemongrass Oil and Bergamot Oil. If you have shopped at Lush for a while then you may know the scent of these bath bomb as Avobath Bath Bomb.  A true citrus scent that is made for Summer. I love the scent of this bomb as it reminds me of a true hot summers day whilst drinking a refreshing lemonade. Not only does this bath bomb smell amazing but looks amazing too as the bomb truly evokes the turtles in all of their glory! There are four bombs to choose between as they all represent each of the turtles and they contain a mystery shaped soap scented in Avobath.  The soaps that you can get are a pizza shaped soap, a skateboard shaped soap, a manhole cover shaped soap and a van shaped soap.

A zoomed in photo of a light brown square box containing four big green turtle head shaped bath bombs (each with a strip of either red, green, blue and purple as a mask around their eyes with a green label next to them that is rectangular that says four brothers bath bomb in white font on a brighrbwbcotround

Peace, Love and Pizza Bath Bomb  (£6.50)

I mean who doesn’t love Pizza? Now you can bathe in it whilst you’re eating some.

This bath bomb is a 3 in 1 bath product. The pizza itself is a bath bomb, the cheese is a bath melt that nourishes the skin and the pepperoni slice on top is actually soap! How amazing is that.

This bath bomb contains Fresh Garlic Infusion, Lemongrass Oil, Basil Oil, Oregano Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Fiat Trade Organic Mango Butter, Organic Ilipe Butter and Cupuaçu Butter.

Yes I know, Garlic, Basil and Oregano sounds like a bad idea for the scent of a bath bomb but weirdly it really works. These three mixed together create a harmonious fresh sort of green herbal scent which creates a fresh background for the scent of the bath bomb which is citrus heavy. To me, the bath bomb smells of freshly cut Pineapple with a herbal backnote to it which I adore. The buttery bath melt looks good enough to eat and when you experience what it does to your skin in the tub you will be wishing that you could eat it so you could enjoy the softening benefits from the inside out. The soap is also gorgeous to me. If you have been a fan of Lush for a while then you will know this scent as Turmeric Latte. A smoky yet creamy scent that envelops you and comforts you to the point of nothing in the world matters but you. I wasn’t sure if the scent combo of Turmeric Latte and Pineapple with a herbal background would work but it really does it gives that sort of smoky kick that grilling pineapple has.

A wide angled photo of a selection of triangular golden brown and green pizza slice shaped bath bombs are presented to look like a full pizza. The bath bombs contain a golden brown and green pizza base, yellow cheese and a brown pepperoni circular soap on a light brown table with a green rectangular label with peace love and pizza bath bomb in white font on a bright background

Green Machine Bubble Bar (£7.50)

It’s about to get green in here!

This bubble bar contains Bergamot Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute and Ylang Ylang Oil. If you are an avid Lushie then you may know the scent of this Bubble Bar as Bathos. Honestly I haven’t smelt Bathos in such a long while I wasn’t fully sure what to expect except I remember it being Violet heavy. It is Violet heavy but it’s complimented so well with the spiciness of Clove Bud Oil. The Rose, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang help to create a floral background for the Violet to jump off. If you’re not the biggest Violet fan then I do suggest giving this a sniff as you may be a bit surprised. This bubble bar creates so many fluffy bubbles! If you’re looking for a pamper after a hard works day or something before date night then honestly I think Green Machine might just be the thing for you!

A close up photo of a bunch of oval squished green and brown swirled bubble bars in a light brown circular bowl next to a rectangular green label with green machine bubble bar in white font on a bright background

Krang Shower Jelly (£11)

It’s time to finally defeat Krang with the help of the shower!

This shower jelly is inspired by the well known villain in TMNT known as Krang!

This shower jelly contains Carageenan Extract, Glycerine, Irish Moss Extract,  Bergamot Oil, Davana Oil, Almond Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute. Some may know the scent of this Shower Jelly via the Conga Shower Shelly at Lush but this has a touch more Vanilla to my nose. If you haven’t smelt either Krang or Conga then imagine a very potent yet refreshing Raspberry Milkshake style of scent or the scent of those Drumstick Squashies sweets. This shower jelly also comes with a metal reusable tin which I absolutely love as it means I can take it with me when I’m out and about in the UK. I also think that it would make a perfect gift especially for those who love showers more than baths and could do with reducing their use of plastic!

A zoomed in photo of a big pink brain shower jelly next to some circular silver metal tins with a white circular label on top which has TMNT x lush in red font next to a green rectangular label with Krang shower jelly in white font on a background

Turtle Power Solid Scrub (£10)

Well everyone needs a bit of Turtle Power to help them get through the day!

This shower scrub contains Fine Sea Salt, Organic Ilipe Butter, Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter, Bamboo Stem Extract, Murumuru Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Kokum Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Bergamot Oil and Olibanum Oil. If you have shopped at Lush for a while then you will know the scent of this shower scrub via the BlackBerry Bath Bomb which is back to purchase via the Retro wall and I’m Back section on the Lush UK Website and the Sultana of Soap Soap which is available in stores and on the Lush website and app. Recently Lush did release a Sultana Shower Gel which shares the same scent via the Lush X Community range which is centralised around avid lushies suggesting and requesting for beloved scents to come back! If you haven’t smelt this then Sultana is a deep fruity scent that reminds you of picking blackberries in a  garden with a woody undertone that adds to the richness of the fruit. The Bamboo Stem Extract gives a subtle yet very effective scrub to the skin whilst the butters ensure that the skin is left feeling super smooth after using the scrub. I love this as I hate it when you use a scrub, get out of the shower or bath and realise that the scrub has dried or even worse irritated your skin which then ends up affecting the rest of the day and your mood. I also love how this can be taken anywhere and everywhere due to it being plastic free. I also would definitely suggest this as a gift for anyone who sometimes forgets to use a scrub as I think the plastic free, scent and textural elements may sway them into remembering to use one!

Goongala! Shampoo Bar (£10)

Finally a shampoo bar to help you have hair

This shampoo bar contains Fresh Watercress Infusion, Sandalwood Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Tagetes Oil, Rosewood Oil and Vetivert Oil. This shampoo bar has hbeen created to help your scalp. The Rosewood Oil in this bar has a cleansing effect whilst Lemongrass helps to make hair shiny and Watercress Infusion helps to soothe the scalp! I’ve been using this for a while now and as someone who has problematic hair and a problematic scalp, this shampoo bar has been a godsend. I also love the concept of a shampoo bar not only because you can travel with them but because in Lush’s words they last longer than a relationship does’… if you have been a Lushie for a while then you may know the scent as Smugglers Soul which used to be a beloved Perfume back in the day. The scent is smoky with a slight light citrus backnote and it smells to die for!

A zoomed in photo of dark green and purple circular puck shaped shampoo bars which have lush etched in one side and a white paper rectangular strip with TMNT x lush in black font on a bright background

There is also a three pack of face cloths that are inspired by all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Lush that are available to purchase online and in store.

Have you checked out any of the range? Would you try a Pizza inspired bath bomb? Do you like Pineapple? Let me know!

Let's Get This Party Started Right Now! | Lush Parties 2024

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! Lush have recently revamped their Partiies so I thought that today I would talk to you all about them.

If you are unaware, you can book parties at Lush for whatever reason you want. Whether this be a birthday, an engagement, an anniversary, to celebrate a graduation or just because really. Lush have recently decided to mix up some things and make the party interesting as always.

A wide angled phot of a big red bouncy castle shaped shower jelly on n a light brown rectangular shelf next to a tower of cylindrical plastic clear tubs filled with small red bouncy castle shaped shower jellies with circular clear lids with a black circular label that says bouncy castle shower jelly lush in white font on a bright background

Now I know what you’re thinking…. What does a Lush Party entail? Well a Lush Party can entail anything that you would like it to entail. At £25 per person, Lush Parties can be personalised for whomever is wanting one.

Create your own outfits and fashion show like the pros using Lush’s own Knot Wraps which are not only recycled from existing materials but also are an amazing ethical alternative to wrapping paper. In my opinion, most of Lush’s Knot Wraps are covered in quirky and amazing patterns so if I was to do this then I would be bold and pair some wonderful patterns together to create an avant grade look.

Use Lush’s iconic FUN to create portraits of everyone at the party which then can be used to wash the body, hair and as bubble bath.

Have a good old fashioned pamper session! Create bespoke Face Masks and apply them to someone at the party with your eyes closed. Experiment with some of Lush’s makeup which includes ethical naked makeup such as their Naked Mascara to makeover someone at the party and use Lush’s iconic Massage Bars to learn the art of massage on yourself and others for when you and your loved ones really need some relaxation and recharge.

A wide angled photo of a white circular bowl filled with pink clay face mask with some red rose petals on the side of the bowl on a white rectangular shelf on a bright background

Make a Lush Product. Now this one is integral to every Lush Party. The VIP gets to choose what you all get to make and you all get to take it home to use. Isn’t that amazing. I have made a couple of products at Lush in my time and whether they turn out as a masterpiece or as something from my nightmares I have always had a blast making them.

Now Lush have decided to change the party game up a bit and have changed the products that you can make and take home. The products that you can make are Rosy Cheeks which contains Rose Petal Infusion, Rose Clay and Rose Oil which are all known for their calming and soothing properties so if you suffer from redness or irritation then this face mask would be perfect for you to make at the party and use, the beloveds and interstellar Intergalactic Bath Bomb that is full of Popping Candy, Peppermint, Grapefruit, Cedarwood and Vetivert Oils (I’ve made this in store before and it is a blast to make), Sleepy Bubble Bar which contains Lavender and Tonka to help you relax and indrift off to sleep, The Comforter Bubble Bar which smells like delicious fruity Blackcurrant, Tony’s Magic Cow Bath Bomb which is made for anyone who wants a beautiful softening bath and a surprise seasonal kit for those who are having a surprise party!

A photo of a white hand putting a purple and white oval shaped bubble bar into a rectangular light brown bag with lush on the front with a love heart instead of the u in red whilst the rest is in black on a white rectangular surface on a bright background

The brand new products that can be gifted into everyone’s goody bag included Brother Bear, a shower gel inspired by Discos, a shower jelly shaped like a Bouncy Castle and much more!

Birthday Bear Bath Bomb

This bath bomb is a brand new addition to the Party Range and oh boy are they adorable?!

This bath bomb contains Bergamot Oil, Lavender Oil and Lemongrass Oil. This combination of Oils create a truly beautiful scent that reminds me slightly of Spiced Apple which is weird to explain but if you ever get to smell it then you will know what I mean. Spiced Apples with a sort of Lemongrass undertone that ensures that the scent doesnt become too sickly sweet. If you have shopped at Lush for a while then you may know the scent of this beautiful Bear more commonly as Love or even Fizzbanger. I recently got to make one of these beautiful bears in store and I shouldn’t say this but I was looking quite forward to dropping them into the tub and watching them drown/dissolve… Is that bad of me? Anyways, this bath bomb created a truly amazing bathing experience and weirdly I got to make this the weekend before my actual Birthday so I used this Bath Bomb at the end of my Birthday.

A pink and dark orange bear shaped bath bomb on a bright background

Bouncy Castle Shower Jelly

Who doesn’t remember a Bouncy Castle being the epitome of fun at someones birthday party? Well now you can take that fun into the tub with you.

This Shower Jelly contains Glycerine, Freeh Strawberry Infusion, Carrageenan Extract, Jasmine Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid, Geranium Oil and Cold Pressed Strawberry Seed Oil. This Shower Jelly shares its scent with a retro Lush product known as Strawberry Twin Tubs. To me, the scent of this shower jelly honestly reminds me of British summers. The strawberry mixed with the Benzoin and Jasmine reminds me of enjoying Strawberries and scream at a picnic in a garden on a warm day. The Geranium is mainly in the background of the Shower Jelly to my nose which I like as sometimes Geranium can overpower other ingredients sometimes. This Shower Jelly also contains Glycerine and Carageenan whilst the Strawberry Seed also helps to nourish skin so you know that your skin will be left super soft and supple after using this shower jelly!

Shower In The Disco Shower Gel

Time to make shower time as fun as a good old fashioned disco!

This Shower Gel contains Glycerine, Fine Sea Salt, Lactic Acid, Bergamot Oil, Davana Oil, Almond Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute. For those that have been shopping at Lush for a while may know the scent profile of this Shower Gel via the Conga Shower Jelly or the Krang Shower Jelly that is a part of the current TMNT X Lush range. To me, the ingredients combine to create a quite creamy but fruity scent. The best way to describe the scent of this Shower Gel is to imagine a fresh smoothie that’s been made mainly with Raspberries and Vanilla Yoghurt or the Raspberry flavour of the Drumstick Squashie sweets.

There are also some returning favourites that are still a part of the Lush Party Range

A white hand held below a upside cylindrical bottle filled with sparkly dark pink/red shower gel with a slightly red and pink mixed rectangular label with shower in the disco shower gel lush written in white font on a bright background

Confetti Cake Lip Scrub

Is it really a Party if there’s no Cake?!

This Lip Scrub contains Caster Sugar, Multicoloured Sprinkles, Organic Jojoba Oil, Peach Kernel Oil, Icing Sugar, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Vanilla Absolute and Fine Sea Salt. To me, the Vanilla is the main star of this Lip Scrub whilst the citrus ingredients help to make it multidimensional and not one noted. I guess the best way to describe it is a very rich vanilla cake that has been kissed with citrus. I am very iffy with Vanilla but I really like the scent and taste of this Lip Scrub! I also adore the addition of sprinkles. Sprinkles evoke parties and having a blast to me and make for a great textural component when it comes to lip scrubs. Definitely one for anyone who loves Vanilla or needs some TLC for their lips on the go.

A white hand holding a glass cylindrical tub filled with white and multicoloured lip scrub with confetti cake lip scrub written in white on the side of the jar on a bright background

Gold Party Balloon Reusable Bubble Bar

Who doesn’t love a balloon on their birthday? Well now you can have one in bubble bar form!

This bubble bar contains Buchu, Litsea Cubeba and Sweet Wild Orange Oils to create a truly zesty scent that evokes the vibe of Summer Parties! If you have shopped at Lush for a while then you may know the scent of this golden balloon via the Passion scent. I adore the scent as it truly reminds me of drinking cocktails that are garnished with half a Passionfruit whilst sat outside enjoying the gorgeous yet rare summery weather in England. This bubble bar is a reusable bubble bar which work a little bit differently than Lush’s iconic bubble bars. To use this reusable bubble bar just hold the Balloon via the stick under running water and let the bubbles form. Once you have reached the amount of desired bubbles in the tub just turn the tap off and put somewhere safe to dry such as a soap dish.

A balloon shaped bubble bar coated in gold glitter on a thin light brown wooden stick on a bright background

Calm A Llama Party Piñata Bath Bomb

Time to smash this piñata into the tub and see what comes out!

This bath bomb contains Popping Candy, Lime Oil, Nwroli Oil and Olibanum Resinoid.  If you have been a Lushie for a while then you may know the scent of this Bath Bomb via the Zesty scent family at Lush. I love the concept of this bath bomb. A piñata that reveals a multidimensional sensory experience. I think that everyone would love to receive this. Not only does it look cute but it creates a hell of a bath fit for anyone celebrating something.

If you can’t get to book a party anytime soon then don’t be alarmed. Lush hosts Parties all year round to suit you. There is also the revamped Happy Bath Day Gift Set which contains some of the Party exclusives for you to use at home. (I mean no ones going to know if you buy the gift for some self care rather than as a gift for someone’s birthday… it’s not what I’m planning on doing at all…)

If you are looking to book a party then contact your local Lush or desired Lush store to discuss the details of your bespoke party!

Taking A Skinny Dip In The Tub And Having Sweet American Day Dreams | Lush X Community Shower Gels (American Cream & Skinny Dip)

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post. The lovely people at Lush sent me some of their upcoming Lush X Community Shower Gels and I thought that today I would talk to you all about them.

If you are unaware of the Lush X Community concept then let me explain! Lush know that the Lush Community is not only filled with great people but also full of great ideas and to show this they have started Lush X Community. A range of products for people who love Lush chosen by people who love Lush. The way that these ranges work are by Lush allowing people in the Lush Community to choose a number of familiar and well loved scents to go into a category of products (such as fragrances, bubble bars, shower gels) and the most requested win! Lush asked the community to choose what beloved scents should be turned into shower gels and Lush have listened. The six shower gels that have been chosen and will be listed later on in the blog post will be released on the Lush App on the 26th June 2024 and then will go into select stores (Lush Liverpool Spa, Lush Oxford Street and Lush Glasgow) and then will go on the Lush Website.

A photo of a light brown square box containing white eco pops with a black rectangular card behind it that says shower to the people push x community in white font with two cylindrical plastic bottles in front. One containing light pink sparkly shower gel with a black rectangular label with American cream shower gel lush in white font with a black cylindrical lid next to one that contains pale yellow shower gel that looks creamy with a black rectangular label that says skinny dip shower gel lush in white font on a bright background

American Cream

This creamy shower gel is definitely the one that you’ll want to lather yourself in and fall in love with this Summer.

List Of Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Vanilla Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Fresh Strawberry Juice, Fresh Orange Juice, Carrageenan Extract, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, Coumarin, Linalool, Colour 17200.

I am not sure if you managed to get the references in the little sub title snippet but American Cream is inspired by Grease and America in the 1950’s with their diners and shakes.

The scent of this gel is very much inspired by 60’s America too. To me, American Cream smells like Strawberry Milkshake with a floral undertone. I think I get a floral undertone from the inclusion of Lavender and Clary Sage. I do love to use this fragrance in the Summer time because well Strawberry as a scent always reminds me of my childhood when Strawberries were cheap and in season so I love how Lush have listened to the Lush Community and released this in the height of Summer. Strawberries and Vanilla are the epitome of British Summer Time to me!

The texture of this gel is quite luxurious and creamy which I wasn’t expecting. I was thinking that this was going to be on the runnier side of Shower Gels but to my surprise it really isn’t.I think that American Cream Shower Gel has a lovely thick texture to it due to the Glycerine and Carrageenan Extract that is included in this gel. When lathering this shower gel up, I noticed that it did become more of a creamy emulsion than a bubbly lather which may put some people off but I adore Shower Gels that turn into a creamy emulsion as I know that it means that it is going to be super nourishing for my skin!

I do still have some of the old American Cream Shower Gel from Lush so I decided to find it and compare it to the new Lush X Community American Cream Shower Gel. I wasn’t really expecting a difference because well they are both the same Shower Gel but to my surprise there was quite a difference. Regarding the scent of the old Shower Gel, I noticed that the Vanilla Absolute was the main star of this Shower Gel whilst the other ingredients that make up the scent of American Cream are sort of helping to make the Vanilla Absolute the main star. I think that this may have been the case when this Shower Gel was first released to push the Cream part of American Cream and to show new customers that this truly is inspired by American style Strawberry Shakes. The texture for me is lovely but I did notice that it took a hot minute to get it to lather up into a creamy emulsion whereas the Lush X Community lathers up to a creamy emulsion quite quickly and easily and the main stars of the scent profile of this Shower Gel to my nose are more the Fresh Strawberry Juice and Clary Sage Oils whereas the rest (Lavender,`Vanilla and Benzoin) are in the background to help create the iconic scent that we know as American Cream. The best way I can describe it is that the old version is a little bit more of a Vanilla Milkshake scent with the addition of Strawberries and florals to create a lovely sweet scent whereas the brand new Lush X Community version is a Strawberry Milkshake scent with a creamy and floral undertone.

Skinny Dip

It’s time to strip off and coat your nude body in some sensual shower gel this Summer that it truly craves!

List Of Ingredients: Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Water, Coconut Infusion, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Fine Sea Salt, Lauryl Betaine, Cold Pressed Murumuru Butter, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Cedarwood Oil, Clary Sage Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Palmarosa Oil, Vetivert Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Alpha-Isomethyl lonone, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Eugenol, Geraniol, *Linalool, Perfume.

This shower gel is truly a blast from the past! This shower gel was first released in 1995 I believe and slowly became a classic hit. The Shower Gel back in the day was slightly controversial for some of the Lush Community due to some textural and emulsification issues. In the past few years Lush have re-released Skinny Dip as a Buttercream in their Lush Kitchen Subscription Box. As this is a OG I totally get why a lot of the Lush Community voted for the Shower Gel to come back! (Yes RuPaul’s Bring Back My Girls popped into my head then and I did change the lyrics in my head to ‘Bring Back My Gels’).

This shower gel is an enigma of a scent to me. A true temptress of the senses. In my opinion, this is a spicy clove forward scent that reminds me of all things warm and smoky with a creamy White Chocolate with a hint of Coconut base. I think I get the Clove instantly and the sort of instant hit of smokiness because I love anything warm and smoky so my nose instantly hunted that out. On first sniff, the Clove and Vetivert made me think of Dear John and to me this gel could be described a bit as the quirky family relative whio doesnt fit in with the rest of the family of Dear John but that’s just me. I did read in previous reviews that this gel smells a bit of Violet which I think is due to the addition of Palmarosa and I do get Violet but not unless I sniff the gel and then really hunt for it. I’d say that Skinny Dip is similar to Magik in the sense of its very smoky with a touch of Violet. I love the creamy base of Skinny Dip as it ties everything together and truly makes me think of a night on holiday. The slight whiff of creamy Coconut which normally comes from Pina Coladas, the smoky fragrances that waft in the air and the slight hit of woodiness from wood burning in the background to create a picturesque atmosphere all in one. Not only will this potentially get you in the mood for a holiday but as this gel truly does smell amazing it may also get you in the mood for other tantalising things like… skinny dipping!

The texture of this Shower Gel to me is Creamy personified. The epitome of creaminess even. I wasn’t sure what to expect when looking at the description and ingredients of Skinny Dip. I did think that this would have the texture of a Shower Cream from Lush which for me were amazing but did have their flaws. I loved how creamy and rich they were but as someone with dexterity issues sometimes I did find it a little bit hard to squeeze some out of the bottle every now and again. I was a bit surprised to find out that this isn’t the case with Skinny Dip when I opened the bottle and tried some. I also researched the old version of Skinny Dip Shower Gel and noticed that it contained White Chocolate and Cocoa Butter which didn’t merge well together with the rest of the ingredients that make up Skinny Dip and thus caused some emulsification and texture issues when using the Shower Gel. This definitely isn’t the case with the upcoming Lush X Community version. This version of Skinny Dip Shower Gel is rich and creamy without being too thick and balm like.I think that the Murumuru Butter and Coconut work well together to create a rich and creamy base without being too heavy when working it into the skin. I have quite dry skin but obviously due to the hot weather and being a bit under the weather right now I want to use Shower products that will moisturise my skin and leave it soft and supple without being heavy and this definitely fit the bill of what I have been needing lately. If you love anything that is spicy or smoky or are in need of a scent that will make heads turn and someone special to shout ‘you smell divine’ on date night then I do think that this is definitely for you. I know that some men can be very particular with shower scents but I think that Skinny Dip would also be a great one for that man in your life due to the Clove, Vetivert and Cedarwood Oils.

These Shower Gels will be dropping on the 26th (this Wednesday), they will also be in select stores (Lush Liverpool Spa, Lush Glasgow and Lush Oxford Street) and then will also appear on the Lush Website. The other scents that the Lush Community chose and will make an appearance on the 26th are Guardians Of The Forest for all your forest fiends, Super Milk for anyone who adores the viral Hair product from Lush, Sultana for all you berry loving babes and Let The Good Times Roll for anyone who wants to smell like a popcorn inspired snack!

Thanks again to the Lush Community Team for sending me these two amazing Shower Gels. They have truly made my week and perked me up whilst I am under the weather!

Will you be picking up any of the Lush X Community Shower Gels? What scents from Lush would you like to appear as a Shower Gel? Let me know down below and on social media.

Having Some Posh Good Old Times In The Shower | Lush Gourmand Favourites Limied Edition Range - Posh Chocolate Shower Gel & Let The Good Times Roll Body Lotion

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a brand new blog post! I thought that I would talk to you all today about the exclusive gourmand products that recently dropped on Lush’s website and in Lush stores for a limited time.

Posh Chocolate Shower Gel

Lush have decided to turn their best selling Posh Chocolate Body Wash into a Shower Gel for a limited time for those who prefer a bottled shower gel over a potted body wash. This may be for a plethora of reasons such as just preferring the texture of a gel to accessibility reasons such as it may be easier for them to open a shower gel lid rather than unscrew a potted lid.

This shower gel contains Glycerine, Water, Cocoa Powder, Hazelnut Milk, Fine Sea Salt, Lactic Acid, Cocoa Absolute, Australian Sandalwood Oil and Vanilla Absolute.

The texture of this shower gel was quite amazing. Thick but not too thick and moisturising without being heavy on the skin. I think the reason for this sumptuous texture is due to the Glycerine and Hazelnut Milk. Both are known for being quite moisturising to the skin.

The scent is to die for. If you have smelt Posh Chocolate before from Lush then you will know that it smells of the most divine Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. This shower gel is very similar but to me, the hazelnut is a little bit more subtle in this Shower Gel. Furthermore, the Sandalwood comes out a little bit more when you’ve washed this off your skin. The Sandalwood mixed with the Cocoa Absolute makes for a rich Chocolate scent that lasts on your skin after washing for several hours.

My skin is known for being quite dry no matter the weather and this shower gel made my skin feel truly soft and supple. If you wanted to pair this with some other products from Lush to create a gift then you could pair the Gel with the following. There’s Butterball to create a truly divine bathing experience. The brand new Magic Bus to create a sort of chocolatey tropical bathing experience. Orange Scrub to create a creative Chocolate Orange scent. Magic Crystals to create a refreshing Chocolate Mint scent and Coco Loco to create a shower experience that may remind you of Bounty Chocolate Bars.

A white hand holding a cylindrical plastic bottle filled with chocolate brown liquid with a black cylindrical lid with a black rectangular label with posh chocolate shower gel lush in white font on a bright background

Let The Good Times Roll Body Lotion

The fans have asked and Lush has spoken! Lush’s well known and sweet scented facial cleanser Let The Good Times Roll has been transformed into a body lotion for those who want to smell like sweet popcorn all year round! You can now pair the Facial Cleanser, Lotion and Body Spray to truly smell like a snack!

This body lotion contains Warer, Corn Oil, Polenta Infusion, Organic Jojoba Oil, Glycerine Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Illite Butter.

The texture of this is quite gorgeous. Sumptuous and conditioning but sinks into the skin quite quickly. I wasn’t expecting this as my skin normally takes a fair while to absorb Cocoa Butter due to my skin being on the dry side but my skin drank it up quite quickly.

The smell is truly one of a kind. A true popcorn scent which I think is due to the Corn Oil and Polenta Infusion that is in this lovely lotion. I mean, its corn, what’s not to love? Personally I do think that the scent of this lotion could be a little bit more corny? I don’t know how to explain it but to my nose the scent reminds me of a mix of lightly toasted popcorn and a Creme Brûlée post it being torched to create that iconic cracking top that we all know and love. I do think for some that the scent of this lotion may be a love or loathe sort of situation. I have been using it for a while and I quite like it due to how it conditions my skin, If you layer it with a Body Spray or Perfume then it does give the fragrance that you spray on top a sort of smoky and creamy undertone which I have been enjoying. I’ve also been pairing it with an old All Good Things Solid Perfume from Lush and they have gone amazingly with each other.

If you wanted to create a gift for someone with this Lotion then you could obviously pair this with the Facial Cleanser and Body Spray of the same name and create a little Popcorn scented bundle for someone. You could pair Posh Chocolate Shower Gel and this Lotion to create a combo that will leave you smelling like a snack or you could pair it with Honey I Washed Your Kids or even the Popcorn Lip Scrub that’s exclusive to the Retro Wall to create a truly gourmand gift set.

Have you been able to smell or grab either of these gourmand goodies? What is your perfect scent combo to smell like a true snack? Let me know down below and on social media.

Thanks for reasing!

Treating Father Figures To Some Last Minute Relaxation In The Tub | Lush Fathers Day 2024 Range

Hey everyone!

I know that Fathers Day is right around the corner so I thought that I would talk to you all about Lush’s Fathers Day range for those looking for a last minute gift.

A range of beauty products including rectangular blocks of soap, one in blue and one in grey next to several shaped bath bombs and a cylindrical clear bottle filled with dark green liquid with a black rectangular label with fresh as shower gel lush in white font all on white rectangular planks on a bright background

Bath Bombs:

Dinosaur In A Crisis

We all need a relaxing bath when we are in crisis mode.

This bath bomb is a brand new addition to the Fathers Day range for 2024 and oh boy does it look adorable! This bath bomb contains Coarse Sea Salt, Lavender Oil, Litsea Cubeba Oil, Rose Absolute, Rose Petal Powder and Lavender Powder. To me, the best way to describe the scent of this bath bomb is a mixture of Sleepy and Rose Jam from Lush. I know that the sound of that may be a bit jarring and a bit overwhelming but the two scent families work well to create a sweet floral scent. The Litsea Cubeba helps to cut through some of the sweetness too. I am really iffy with florals but I really enjoyed this bath bomb as it wasn’t too cloying and definitely one to use when you just want something that will help you relax! If you are going to use this dino then maybe take my advice and don’t name them before dropping into the tub like I did! Priced at £3.50.

Super Dad

Time to show them that they truly are Super Dad of the Universe!

This bath bomb contains Violet Leaf Absolute, Pakistani Rose Absolute, Bergamot Oil and Cananga Oil to create a truly superb scent. If you have smelt this and thought I have smelt this scent at Lush before then you are right! This bath bomb shares the same scent as the Daddy-O and Violet Cream Hair Products at Lush. I absolutely adore this scent profile! To me, the scent profile reminds me of well smelling a massive shrub of Violets mixed with the scent of Parma Violet sweets. This bath bomb is also quite a slow fizzer which means that you can enjoy it whilst having a much deserved long soak! If you haven’t given this a sniff then I do urge you before they disappear! Priced at £6.

A diamond flat shaped bath bomb to represent a trophy in dark and light purple with dad in the middle in red with the a looking like a ribbon bow on a bright background

Out Of This World

This bath bomb is truly out of this world!

This bath bomb contains Popping Candy, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Lime Oil, Olibanum Resinoid and Green Tea Powder to create an interstellar scent! To me, the scent reminds me of a summery Banana scent which I know sounds weird but it really works at this time of year! Not only does this bath bomb smell amazing but also looks amazing too due to the astronaut design! This bath bomb would be amazing for those into all things space or for anyone needing a treat this Summer! I also make sure to grab one when they are released for Fathers Day just because of the smell, the cuteness and the wonderful bath art that this bath bomb produces! This bath bomb also shares the same scent as Never Mind The Ballistic and The Wishing Lamp Bath Bomb. Priced at £5.

Bubble Bars

Seaside

Who doesnt want the seaside right in their own bathroom?!

This bubble bar is a brand new concept for Lush. Not only does it have a squishier texture compared to `a lot of Lush’s well known bubble bars but you are able to get this bubble bar in multiple sizes! Whether you want a small slice to try out a big block to last you, you can go into store and ask for whatever size takes your fancy!

This bubble bar contains Hand Harvested Sea Salt, Ho Wood Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil. This to me creates a slightly musky, slightly fresh seaside inspired scent. I absolutely love it. I think that this scent works perfectly as a product for Father’s Day and is a scent that I can see a lot of Father figures enjoying! I also love the concept of different size bubble bars to fit everyone’s needs and I do hope that they bring this concept to other bubble bars in the future. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the squishy texture when I first checked out this bubble bar but I really enjoy it as I find it to be a bit more moisturising and I can see it being an easy way to get children too enjoy baths just like how FUN does. The Seaside Bubble bar also shares the same scent as the Squid Games Shower Jelly. Prices start at £4.

Shower Gel:

Fresh As

With Summer around the corner, its best that everyone smells and feel as fresh as possible!

This shower gel contains Fresh Cucumber Infusion, Fine Sea Salt, Pine Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Orris Oil, Fir Needle Absolute and Tagetes Oil. To me, this scent is a perfect scent for when its warm or for then you need a refreshing scent for post exercise! If anyone in your life exercises and is in need of a Fathers Day gift then this would be the perfect gel for them. To me, the Cucumber is the main star whilst the Fir Needle and Pine mix to create a quite refreshing aquatic green scent. If you are trying to get your man into Lush then this gel paired with Fresh As perfume may be an amazing gift to get them into Lush! Prices start at £8.

FUN:

Shower With FUN

It’s time to get damp and soapy and have some fun in the shower!

This FUN is a brand new version for Fathers Day 2024. There are four different sections of FUN to serve a unique purpose for the hair and body. Some of the FUN is as normal and some contain scrubby parts to help exfoliate the body in the shower!

Instead of ingredients, I’m going to focus on the colours and purpose of each section. They are scented in existing scent families at Lush.

Green  - Avobath - can be used on the body such as back and arms. This section of FUN contains ground rice which is a quite light scrub which will exfoliate dead skin.

Yellow - Refresher - is designed to be used on the hair. This section of FUN also contains Carrageenan which is known for its softening properties.

Blue - Whoosh - is the normal style of FUN and can be used all over the body.

Purple - Daddy-O - is destined to be used on areas of the body such as feet and elbows. This section of FUN contains Tagua Nut Powder which is more of an abrasive scrub than ground rice which will help to get rid of dead skin on the tougher parts of the body.

I love the idea of having different scents and functions for different sections of FUN as I love to use FUN when travelling. I love the concept of introducing the public to a scent family that they may be aware of in a different format! Priced at £10 for a 200g packet of FUN.

Soaps :

Blue Moon

This soap was a staple last year and its back better than ever baby!

This soap contains Rapeseed Oil;Coconut Oil, Glycerine, Bergamot Oil, Grapefruit Oil and Almond Essential Oil. I love this soap. It smells to die for! This soap shares the same scent as the Space Girl scent family at Lush and reminds me of sweet shops in Summer! This soap is also glow in the dark too which I absolutely adore! This soap is definitely worth grabbing before it goes! Priced at £6.

True Grit

Even Father figures need to wash the true grit off their hands every now and again!

This soap contains Rapeseed Oil;Coconut Oil, Rosemary Infusion, Pumice Powder, Glycerine, Orris Root Powder Cedarwood Oil, Elemi Oil, Sewet Wild Orange Oil, Thyme Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. The Pumice Powder gives a soft scrub to the body whilst the butters ensure that skin is super soft and smooth after use. To me, the Rosemary and Orange are the main scent stars which when combined give a sort of fresh herbal scent to the soap. I quite like the idea of having scrubby ingredients in soap to create a multipurpose product! Definitely worth a sniff if you can sniff it before it goes!! Priced at £7.
